I think he is a dealer and used his "Kubota dealer" search... something the average Joe can't do.

I have spoken to several dealers, I am now looking at some other options.

1) ZD20-48 (with factory bagger) - COST - $6700 + tax + delivery = $7300

2) G2160-R48s - COST - $7600 + delivery = $7900

I am not sure which is the better option. I have a feeling my land would not allow full speed on a ZTR and I like the 14 bushel bagger on the G2160-R48S "Rear Shooter".

Anyone have any experience plus or minus with either one?

I know for the $7600 I can also get a BX1500 with 54" MMM but that would not include the Kubota collection system which is around $1400.

I want the bagger for leaf removal more so than for grass clipping pickup. I think the fan based bagger on the ZD20 would probably shred the leaves more but the G2160 has a much larger bagger.

Thanks,
Norm

I like the idea of the rear shooter for a small garden tractor. With no shoot on the side of the deck you can cut close on either side, and empty the hopper from the seat......sweet! I don't know if you can empty the ZD from the seat or not. I have the BX1500, no bagger though. I'd like to have one but there are other needs ahead of the bagger. I looked at the rear shooter but got a good deal on the BX and thought it would be more versatile for driveway clearing, mulching etc. It has been a good tractor, no problems at all.

I ended up going with a BX1500 to. The G2160-R48S is a fantastic machine but it is 2 wheel drive and only usefull for grass mowing/leaf pickup. I got a great deal on a leftover BX1500 ($600 in rebates) so I could not pass it up.

I ended up paying $9600 delivered for a brand new BX1500 with 54" MMM and FEL. I could have purchased just the BX1500 with mower for just $7600 delivered which would have been less than the G2160 (although no bagger on the BX). I think the BX will have much better resale value down the road when and if I ever sell it. I will just get a Cyclone, DR or TracVac bagger system in the Fall to go with it for leaves.

Thanks,
Norm

That's the setup I got. I bought mine used though. I saw it on ebay, went and checked it out and liked it. It had 100 hours on it so it was almost new. The seller brought it to my house for me ( he had just bought a BX23... sweet). The tractor is built solid, and works good. I'm keeping an eye out for a used bagger system.
