Have you checked on a engine through kubota?

It is a 2002 BX1800D 4x4 with 1348 hours. It also has a RCK60B22BX 60 inch belly mower. I bought it used in July 2010.

Just so you know, Kubota engines are some of the most widely used industrial power sources in the world and many equipment manufacturers build their machinery around the same model D722 Kubota engine that's on its last legs in your BX1800. So used, remanufactured and even brand new engines are widely available. If you Google "remanufactured kubota D722", for example, you'll get 30,000 matches.

If your BX is otherwise in decent condition, your dealer or any competent diesel repair outfit should be able to find and install a replacement engine for less than the bath you'd take on a trade-in, to reinforce what others have already noted. Of course if the rest of your BX is in rough shape similar to the engine, it may not be worth it. Just a suggestion to consider. Good luck.

Have you thought about what you might do yet?

I want to get rid of it and get me a newer one with loader and backhoe. Anyone know what a value for this may be? ...knowing it will need an engine overhaul? IMG_0781.JPGIMG_0784.JPGIMG_0785.JPG

New turn signals are under $10 at TSC. I see low hour engines for under $1500, just search on Google

take what it would be worth in good running condition and deduct what a engine would cost and then a little more and that is what it is worth.

THat's what the SELLER does.

The BUYER (if they are smart enough to avoid getting soaked) will take the price of a runner and deduct 2x to 4x the cost of the replacement parts. That way when they find the transmission is on it's original factory oil and needs to be replaced that can be done. The RISK of more damage is VERY HIGH.

Tractorhouse dot com has several bx1800's for sale. 6500-8000. Depending on condition and hours. Personally I wouldn't pay more than 2000-2500.
