OK...so I am inches away from buying my new BX1850, 54" MMM, loader, cruise control and filled tires. It's actually sitting in my yard while I am negotiating with the dealer (he was supposed to bring a rental for me to demo...instead he brought a brand new one instead). Problem is...I want to buy the bagger but am choking on the price. He has quoted me $1,800, which I believe is MSRP. This seems pretty high to me. Any others out their who have done better than this for the bagger?

I think you can do better. My dealer built it into the package and I believe it worked out to be about $1500 for the bagger.

What do you plan on bagging? Your lawn will be better off if you don't pick up the clippings.

I have a BX 23 with the 60" MMM and the PTO Bagger and I tell you it works Fantastic! I Paid $1550.00 for the Bagger in Oct. '05. The only thing is you must have a routine to attach it properly or it can be time consuming and frustrating. I have it down to about 8-10 min. I love my BX!

I have a BX23 with the Kubota bagger as well, I bought the bagger as part of the package in the spring of 2005 to get 0% on it, it is broken out in the invoice at $1,600.

I have had some trouble this spring so far with the bagger getting clogged but I believe that the grass is just too high and too wet, we have had about 18" of rain in the last month or so and I have had to cut it wet.

Regarding leaving the clipping on the ground I hate thatch build up and I hate to get grass on my shoes when its wet. Bagging adds to the mowing time but I think it is worth it.

Also, the bagger can go on really hard by yourself if you don't use a couple tricks. I sit the legs fo the bagger on 2x4's and the rotate it onto the machine. If you don't do this you are in for 30 minutes of language that you don't want the kids to hear.

I just installed the bagger on my BX2350 -- Kubota must have been listening to the complaints about mounting the older version. The new model requires removal of the lower links and installation of two mounting brackets which the lower part of the blower assembly hangs on. Then by attaching the upper link at its longest length to the upper part of the assembly and turning it shorter, the assembly gets pulled into position. Seems like an easier routine than trying to line up the lower links.

I have a 2230 and bought the bagger after my initial purchase,I think I paid somewhere around $1700, and it has been well worth it! Although, I have never removed the thing since it was installed because I heard it was a pain the butt to do, which sounds like it's true. My only complaint is that the capacity seems small but it is probably adequate, the front end gets quite lite when it's full! I wish they offered a trailer option for that set up, especially when it's leaf season.

I used my new bagger (BX2350) for the first time the other evening when the grass was already wet with dew and about 10" tall. I kept expecting it to clog, but it didn't clog once. I was also pleasantly surprised with the capacity. I'm very happy that I bought it. I haven't removed it since installation, so I can't comment yet on how easy or difficult this is.
