Kubota B7500
Hello all, long time, no speak. I am one of the few people that can say they bought too much tractor. I ended up seeding only about 2/3 acre of grass, and it is all slopes and oak trees. My B7500 is too big for mowing and grass catching, which are my too main functions. My loader sits in the shed all year until winter, when it serves as a counter weight for my rear snow blower. I have a very steep driveway, so I want to keep 4WD for winter snowblowing. Anyway, I've read many of the discussions on the BX1850 and BX2350. Here are my questions:

1. For mowing small acreage (2/3 or so) on hills with trees, which is more stable, if there is a difference-- 1850 or 2350. Which if any has a tighter turning radius?

2. Windshield washer fluid in the rear tires - will it help on slopes when mowing? Nothing too drastic -- 18 degrees max.

3. Any reason not to get the front loader (any drawback to buying it later if I find that I really need it)?

The GR2100, from what I've read here seems to unproven as far as reliability goes, so I'm looking at the 1850 or 2350. Thanks in advance!

I doubt it would make any difference. The 1800 series used to be the exact same frame and wheel base as the larger 22 series, just with the smaller motor.

A reason to get the loader now instead of later is the 0% financing available now. Of course, if you never will use the loader then it wouldn't make sense.

Even though one thinks he doesn't need a loader???, he will find uses for it that you would not even imagine. I am sure glad I got mine.

I have a BX1500, which has similar dimensions and tire size to the BX1850. The slightly smaller tires (24 vs 26 in) should give the BX1850 some marginal slope stability advantage vs the BX2350. The BX1850 also has a 2.5 inch smaller wheelbase so turning diameter is a little better I think too.

Slopes on my 2 acres are steep but I've never measured them. I got the BX1500 for its 4 wheel braking. The rear wheel only brakes on my JD rider would often lose some traction going down the slope if the grass was even a little wet. No problems with the BX1500 going up or down mowing with my 54 inch deck. 1850 would work.

That makes sense. I know it is rare, but I almost think the 48" deck on the 1850 would provide a better cut on my yard than the 54". Do you have fluid in your rear tires of your BX1500?

Very true - about the time I get rid of the loader, some immediate need will pop up. I just see $$ sitting in my shed now that never gets used. I'm thinking of buying it later if something comes up that would justify the outlay in cash.

Well I just figured that since he's already got a 7500 with loader he'd have a pretty good idea whether or not he would use it.

You said you don't use the loader you have so why buy another one???????

1* There are a couple of places on my 2.33 acres I won't take my BX 23 due to such slopes. I use my CC GT2554 with a 54'' MMM on these areas and for getting into places that are to small for the BX23.
2*I don't have fluid filled tires on either tractor and see no need for them.
If it were me I would keep the B7500 and purchase something like the CC GT2554 to do the mowing with at about half the price of the BX.
The BXs are nice but are an awfully expensive lawn mower.
I would love to have a BX1500 but not to use as an expensive lawn mower.

Maybe thcri figured the one he's already got setting around un used is getting lonely and needs a companion
