I went to my local Kubota dealer yesterday to have a look at the sub compacts. I live on an apple orchard with with a 2 acre garden that I put about 30 rows of crops in with plastic mulch. I plan to use the tractor mainly to clean up after the mowing I do with my bushhog and sicklebar on our old Ford 340 with FEL. I would also like to use the BX to cultivate and/or till between the rows. I know I can also use it to hold a small sprayer tank for garden applications.
Here is my question -- what other implements can I put on that 3 point hitch? The salesman said for any BX model no way to a 5 foot bushhog or even a single disc plow, but how about a plastic layer? What about a rake? He also said no way to lifting a 400 or 500 lbs. bin of apples with it, but the lift capacity is listed as over 600 lbs. at 24 inches out.
What have people been putting on their BX 3 point hitches? Thanks
