BX1860 or 2360?

There is no way you need the bx2360. I have an 1860 with a front end loader and 54" mower. I plow a 600 foot driveway (Minnesota), haul rock from one end of my property to another with the bucket, mow 3 acres of hills and 3 acres between grape vines (on a slope) and pull a spray trailer through the same grapes several times a year. There is not once that I wished I had more power or a bigger tractor - The added weight of a bigger tractor would hurt more than it would help. I am going to fill my rear wheels with liquid for better balance when moving buckets of manure and dirt, but that is about it. I have had no problems with it. I have thought back about how hard the decision was to go with the 1860 vs the 2360 - And now I laugh at it. Even with the amount I do the bx1860 is way more than I need.
I have a BX1500 the for runner of the bx1860.
I also have a BX23 that's a for runner of a bx2630 with a BH.

I thought you had 2 older used BX1500's! Did one die or did you sell it? Don't let us down LB, we count on you telling how you have 2 of the same tractors and another one of the same size with a backhoe. Please say it ain't so that you've split up the family!!! How could you possibly do that after telling us that it takes 3 of the same size to get your jobs done!!!:)

I think the BX1860 will suit you fine....I went from a 2230 to an 1860 and don't miss the extra power unless the very rare occasion of digging in some tough dirt. Usually, you will run out of tracion before power.

I had the 2230 for 5 years and never used the cruise control.

The smaller tires on the 1860 are not an issue unless in mud....then the narrower fronts will dig in more, but not enough that I couldn't get myself out.

I went from the 60" deck to the 48" deck due to clearance issues in my yard. I doubt it takes more than 10-15 minutes longer to mow the same area...(I have 1.16 acre of heavily landscaped yard) If I had several acres of open area, I would prefer the larger deck.

In my opinion, save the $1500 and buy that tiller you want.

Seems like somewhere on this forum people with the 18xx have complained about having to drop down into low range when climbing small hills while mowing. I think I've use low range one time for a job and just to make sure it still works. When I bought my 2350 the difference in price made it a no brainer. I think it was $600 difference. May have been because the dealer didn't have the 1850 in stock and came down in price to make the sale.
