BX22 BH install warning!

   / BX22 BH install warning! #11
Sure. I have to wait a few hours since it is raining in MA and I am having carpet installed in my basment. SO, they are using the garage for quick storage for now.

should be done by 5:00 pm EST..I hope.

**The dollies work great since it is easier to install, remove and move BH around.

The instructions sound weird but once the pictures on, it will put it all together.

Oh, once complete, please feel free to contact me with things that need revising or updating. Not set in stone. It is just the way I have been doing it.

Also if you want anyother processes for doing things let me know. I will put them on my website if you wish. No problem. Trying to help.

Try cutting a block to fit under your backhoe that will hold it up at the correct mounting height. Then you can back right in and hookup your hoses eliminating the extra step. Also, Make sure that once the bottom mount on the backhoe is hooked into the tractor that you raise the outriggers enough so that they do not hit the ground. This will keep the sheet metal from getting damaged. By the way, What town are you in Junkman?

I have a B7500 but have had lots of trial and error getting my BH off and on. I had the same idea about a dolly and made my own with a 2X10 and some heavy casters. They don't really roll that well on my asphalt drive but would probably be more mobile if I had a concrete pad. In any event they give me just enough lateral movement to make just that little adjustment to get the BH lined up with the lower arms. See attached photo.

Read your post just after finishing mine. Amazing how trial and error brought me to the same conclusion. The picture I posted might show that I have done exactly what you said. I found that leaving the bh at the same height that I disconnected it make the reattachment go faster.

Nothing real fancy but it works. I thought about buying a pair of those dollies they sell for moving cars around in garages. In the end I am cheap and made my own.

Outstanding! That is what I plan to do when I get a barn or shed to hide the thing in. Right now my poor BH is languishing outdoors on my drive under a tarp. I have a 3 car garage but my wife never quite understood the purpose for a garage and sees it as an extension of the house for storing her things.

Thanks for the pictures. I had thought of a dolly system like this also, but never thought about raising the outriggers. I was going to put small dollies under each of the outriggers. I like your method better.
