You might find a set on ebay.com . I've bought a few things on there and I bet you can find tires there too.

I had the same run in with a local dealer in Holyoke MA (Leahy Equipment Inc) . I went there for a sindle HYD filter part and he asked where and how much I bought my BX22 for? His eyes went wide open when I told him how much (did not tell him where). Then I asked him what his price was and were they selling. His price was $2700 MORE then what I got for. Do not forget to add another $900 for tax. Then he said I can't service my BX since "my" people come first. So I said is this normal for Kubota ah, I will just call them and ask. Then he quickly said our people come first and you would have to wait serveral weeks if you ever need service. I said I do not want service nor the part.. Bye bye.

Oh he tried the "only have one left" deal. Too bad it has been sititng there for months.

I will not even metion the sales guy that is a _______ (fill in the blank).

Junkman--Price is correct and the norm. I think other dealers are adding, dealer tax, shipping tax, "on the lot tax", bothering me tax, etc.

Don't you think that almost all dealers at one time or other has sold tractors or other equipment to someone far off or in another state? The dealer I bought my last tractor from said he had sold some tractors and equipment to someone in France and shipped it there.I do not think think they will be shipped back for service.I did not buy my first or second tractor from the local dealer (less than five miles from my home) because of his attitude. I got my first one a L2650 from a dealer in SC 65 miles away.Since then he has retired and sold dealership to someone that went up on prices and acts like he knows less than I do about tractors. Which is very little.I bought my last tractor from a dealer in east Tenn. because of price and attitude. What I am trying to say is since dealers sales are not all to locals.(I know most of their sales are but not all)They should be willing to work on tractors that might not have came from their dealership.I would almost bet that Steve Carver and Art would. Back to my local dealer. I went back thinking I had just hit him on a bad day to look at back blades.I asked him if my tractor could pull one I was looking at and his reply. IF YOU HAD BOUGHT IT HERE IT WOULD. And he was not joking. So he lost another sale.I didn't consider him for my second tractor so another sale lost.I don't even buy oil or filters from him. I am just agreeing with you on some dealerships stupidity.

Of course I realize that dealers sell tractors to far off buyers all the time. I am not defending the actions of the dealers that do stupid things.... in fact, I don't understand how you could even think that after reading my previous posts. After reading your post, I don't understand why you don't agree with the whole post, not just the part of dealership stupidity??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I wonder if that jerk thought a comment like that would make you more inclined to make your next tractor purchase from him.
I recently moved up here to Oklahoma from Texas where I had purchased a new Dodge truck. The first month I was here the transmission went out. I called a local dealership and they got me in that morning and had it properly repaired that afternoon. It was all covered under warranty and they were also very friendly.
My next vehicle may not be a Dodge, but if it is and these people are close to right on the price they will get my business.
As for this tractor dealer I would do as RICKR and not buy anything from him. Many here have said that is where the real money is made, on parts and service. What a businessman he must be!
When I bought my Kubota I had looked at both my local dealers and decided to go with one. When I called to tell them I would take it, the owner who I had not yet met answered the phone and had an attitude like he was doing me a favor to sell me the tractor. I told him thanks, hung up and immediately called the other dealer and ordered my new tractor. If they treat you like this before they get your money just imagine after. I wonder if some of these guys will ever get a clue how much money their own mouth and attitude lose them?
