bx22 four spool valve

I ordered my bx22 with the optional four spool valve on the joystick loader controls. My dealer called me up and said that there wern't any available at this time. He said if I wandte a bx22 tractor I had better take the one they had in stock with the three spool valve, or I could wait until September when they would be expecting the new shippment. I told the dealer I would take the tractor they had in stock, but I would still like the 4 spool valve. Could we write it into the contract to inatall the four spool valve in the future. The salesman said he did not know the price and he would not write it into the contract. I was not satisfied with this answer so I called Kubota Headquarters in Torrance Calif. and spoke to a factor Rep. I asked him about availavility of tractors bx22. He told me He could not legally tell me a price for the four spool valve that I would have to work through the dealer. He did say that there is a shortage of tractors but that I could purchace from a differient dealer if I was not satisfied with this dealer. I told them that the salesman was more interested in a sale than good customer service. After I contacted the headquarters my salesman called me back shortley and said that they would install the 4 spool valve at cost for $ 300. dollars. That is $85. dollars for the option $300 dollars to switch the three spool to a four spool. And they were going to keep the old valve ? Is this a good deal I did not want to wait until sept for a tractor. It cost me an extra $100 to upgrade to the 4-way on my BX1800 at time of purchase. If memory serves me, the cost of buying the new 4-way later if I had the 3-way to start, was about $500. Could be wrong on that, but that is what I recall.

I had the same problem when I bought my BX2200. Someone on the board told me to get the 4 way valve. When I told the dealer I wanted that, he told me "he would swap it out for the difference later if I want it". Now he doesn't work there anymore and I am hosed. Get exactly what you want the first time! It is your money. Let the dealer sit on a mountain of 3 ways... You can get yours somewhere else.

On my BX22, the difference in cost was $85.00 to get the 4 Way valve at the time I purchased the tractor. My dealer only had a BX22 with a 3 Way valve in stock so he did a dealer trade with another dealer who had a BX22 with a 4 Way valve. All my dealer did was to look at other dealers stock on his computer until he found another dealer with a tractor that had the correct valve. A week later I had my tractor.

I traded my 3 way for the 4 way as well and only paid the $85 difference and no install cost. If this guy wants to sell a tractor, he should be willing to swap valves without charging you an installation fee - especially 300 bucks. I don't know what their shop rates are, but if $50/hour thats 6 hours to change a valve?! Give him $85 and change it yourself, or find a dealer that actually cares about the customer.

What is the part number for the 4 way valve? I am not sure if I have one or not. I just received my BX2200 w/FEL yesterday, and I requested a 4 way at the last minute, but wasn't sure if I actually got it or not. My part number is a BX2014 I believe.

the part # for the 4 way valve is 03x15002 (bx2014) the 3 way valve is 03x15001 (bx2013). from loader parts manual.

Thank you guys for the encouragement. I think that the dealer is tring to hose me with the 300 charge. Is there any additional parts with the valve swap out. I am assuming that the two ports at the bottom of the four way valve will be capped off for future. [ like front blade, rotary broom.

I just looked at my manual for the four way valve (no charge from the dealer when I bought my tractor BTW) and noticed it says not to put it into float with the bucket off the ground? Wonder what that is about?
