My neighbor stopped by the other day to tell me his BX22 wouldn't start and ask if I had any ideas. I told him to post the problem here and see what ideas you guys could come up with. He had problems getting a user name in a timely manner so he just searched and read old posts. The old posts said blead the fuel at the injectors and check the round selenoid fuel cutoff switch. After cracking open the fuel line on one of the injectors and not getting anything he started looking seriously at the selenoid in front of the fuel pump. He found the right size allen wrench for the selenoid. He busted his knuckles a bit but it came off pretty easily. Neither one of us could quite figure out how it worked but the plunger was a bit sticky when he pushed it in with his finger. He plugged the electric connection back into it and had me turn the ignition on to see what it did. It engine started right up! The plunger retracted as soon as I turned the ignition on so pushing it in with his finger must have loosened it up. It took us a minute to figure out how to turn it off since the selenoid was in his hand. He just placed it back on its mounting area and soon as the plunger post went into the hole the engine turned right off. Needless to say he was pretty happy/releived. He mashed the plunger a couple more times with his finger to make sure it worked ok and put the selenoid back on. Except for all of the rain we've been gettting everything is running fine. I am posting this because the other threads my neighbor read didn't tell how things turned out with the other BXs. If I stole any of your thunder Greenendup I can delete this and you can post your version.
