BX2200 and Box Blade Size?????

What size box blade are you guys pulling with your BX2200's?

Four feet is the size recommended in the manual, but they are rare in this area and PRICEY.

I can get a five foot for $100 LESS than the four foot! Am I dreaming that my 2200 can pull this thing in hard clay???????????

Ron, I think the 4' box blade would be best, but you can certainly use a 5' one; may have to take smaller bites with it and may have to only use some, instead of all, the scarifiers or ripper teeth at a time.

Bird is the wisest of the wise /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif and I hate to disagree /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif but in this case if the clay is hard not even the 48 inch is going to be happy going. THERE IS NO WAY IN THE WORLD YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH A 5 FOOT BOX--no way.
