I'm trying to buy a BX2200. This year! I previously sent a message about buying from a distant dealer. Experienced forum members said that shouldn't be a problem.

Can anyone e-mail me directly with name/number of local dealers with BX2200s in stock. My local dealer (NY) wants $13,500 for a BX2200, 60" mower and LA211FL loader.
I want to take a shot at finding a better deal before signing.
After I make a purchase, local or not, I'll list the dealers with BX tractors in stock, for other BX buyers.
...thanks, Rich S. ( rs191@aol.com or app1rcs@is.ups.com )

This is about as far away for you as it gets, but here is some info. Pauley Equipment in Escondido, CA(in San Diego County) has a few BX2200s. They want $12,400 for the 2200 with the loader and a 48" Gearmore box scraper. A kabota 54" midmower goes for about $1600. Their phone number is (800) 572-8539.

Rich S.,

This is NOT my dealer, I own Blue and you should too! However, since you asked, I'm looking at an ad, dated today in a local shoppers publication advertising the BX2200D.
Tractor $8,995
Kubota Loader $2,350
Kubota 60" mid-deck $1,600
Says the tractor lists for $10,111
Says "Now In Stock"
The dealer is: Seybert's Implement Sales & Service, Coldwater, Michigan, 517/279-8002

Good Luck, JimBinMI

PowerCO in New Jersey just sold me (and has more in stock) a BX2200 60" mower LA211 loader for $12,400 ($10,000 for tractor and deck, $2400 for loader). This included delivery to my location (in NJ)

Hey fella's I've got a Question ?

A buddy at work ordered a BX2200 friday from a local dealer. Of course there were ton's of the 18hp model but not a single 22hp version any where. For only $400.00 difference in price, why did the Kubota folks even make the 18 hp model. That around here no one is buying(waiting for the 22hp one) ?

Shortly after they were first introduced, I had a theory that maybe the 2200 shortage was artificial so that the 1800's would move. I have since discounted that one. Was at my dealer on Friday to pick up some UDT, and noticed everything was gone. Gutted - BX's, B's and L's. Sold 'em all. (And yes, when I asked them about it, a big grin came across their faces - business has been that good). What still amazes me is that the price on the BX's have not changed one iota. You would think that supply and demand would drive the price up. Prices people are reporting here are identical to what pre-releaser's paid (several of us had a lot of e-mail traffic back in December trying to find the best deal).

Back to the subject. I've wondered the same thing. Why the 1800? In reality, there really is nothing the 2200 can do that the 1800 can't (some slightly larger implements). But, with logic aside, I came to the same conclusion, for $400, why not? When we are talking about a $10K purchase, the $400 difference is a nit. Now, for a $2K lawn tractors, that $400 difference would be meaningful and worthy of consideration. What will be interesting is what happens next Spring. After a year of sales, the production plans and dealer orders will reflect what was sold in 2000. Will we see boatloads of 2200's and few or no 1800's?

As the accountant said, "$400 is still $400". /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Guess some people only need 18 HP. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

After 12 years of owning my 318 john deere I wanted something new so I bought a BX2200 (orderd not in)
I went to buy a 445 for 8500.00 ended up with much more for a little more money. Just hope it's a good
one. Everbody talks very good of the 2200 it looks great can't waite for it to get here (about a month)
the green ones in that size looked cheap The old 318 was much more tougher.

my bx2200 is at the dealer i even was able to see it.after a 3 month wait now i am being told that my loader came in damaged and kubota is not cooperating with dealers for any parts.he also told me i am lucky to have the tires for my tractor because they are now hard to get.so now i do not know how much longer it is going to be before i have a usable tractor.if i didnt really need this tractor and if it wasnt priced cheaper than a john deere ,i would definetly have a deere in my garage.
