BX2200, B7500, or Other?

There are a couple 'little' advantages of the BX2200.

1. The suspended mower gives a very nice cut. Of the three you listed, this one does the best job.

2. The BX2200 is much more maneuverable.

I've got eight acres of oak savannah and lawns. There's no doubt that there are larger machines that will sometimes allow me to get the job done more quickly. But for mowing around trees, for getting in the woods and cleaning stuff up---the BX series is very nice. I've also taken out some rocks that had no business being moved by this small a tractor, so I've been very impressed with this tractor's willingness to work...

I just finished cutting 4 acres with a 4' rotary cutter and the BX22. This was mostly Bahia grass; thick and about 2-3 ft tall. Bahia is tough to cut and I took it slow as I had the cutter set pretty low. There was no problem except when my rear tires dropped into a shallow area the hog would hang up and the small tires on the BX would spin (sandy soil) unless I raised the hog a little or locked the differential. I had the tractor in 2WD now that I think of it!
Before I bought mine, I had a chance to compare the BX22 and the 7500 side-by-side. If you do this, you will be surprised at how close they are in size. If the extra ground clearance and slightly greater work capacities are significant to you, I would go with the 7500. For me, I would have moved on up to the 2410 or 2710 if I had decided the BX was too small. FWIW!

The B7500 is an excellent machine. It does all I ask of my second love in my life. My first does too but then wants for money to go to the mall. Go figure...

The New Holland TC33D is a much bigger tractor than the BX and 7500. I guess it depends on what you plan on doing with it. If you don't want to limit yourself too much down the road then go with the bigger TC33D. Since it is used maybe you can work a good deal.

I own a B-7500 and it will certianly do all the task you are talking about. The NH TC33D is considerably more tractor and will do much better with your ground engaging work but the smaller B-7500 will be kinder to your lawn for the finish mowing.
