Your post rusted because you edited it after you had posted it. Even apples rust if you don't eat them fast enough. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
If you want to prevent rust successfully on unpainted surfaces, then spray them with Cosmoline. I know someone that does this with a new car when he gets it and there is no rust on the unpainted parts years later. He generally sprays the ends of hoses, air conditioning fittings that are steel, etc. I am thinking of doing this with my Kubota BX22 if I notice any rust forming. Generally speaking, the tractor stays dry most of the time and is garaged. No rust so far. The only nights it stayed outside were the week between when it was delivered to the dealer and the time that I picked it up after being prepped, and I am not certain about that time period. When I picked it up, it was sitting in a repair stall waiting for me on a very warm, sunny day in October. What I do find disconcerting is that when I take pictures of the tractor, it appears to be chipped and scratched because of the reflection of the dust/dirt on it. I just can't bring myself to washing it more than once a month and waxing it once a year. It is a tractor, not a car. It will outlive your car with proper maintenance. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
