Yes it is a subframe "type" mount, it's a four point mount. See attached pics.

jrlichina,

One of those photos was of the tractor without the bh attached. but it was a closeup of one attachment point. The next time you have the bh off, I'd sure appreciate a photo from a little further back so I can see how much hardware stays bolted onto the tractor while the bh is off. Does the subframe lower your ground clearance or get in the way of other 3ph implements while trying to attach them?

Did this bh come with your tractor new or did you buy it later? How much was just the bh?

Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it.

These are pics Wallenstien sent me when they were developing the mounting system for the JD, I don't have one. The upper mounts take hitch pins and the lower part of the backhoe mounts to a replacement bar that holds on the lower lift arms. Their system does not add any additional bracing or hardware other than the upper mounts so ground clearance is not diminished.

I sent an e-mail to Wallenstein for more BX 2200-related info. Will post when I receive it.

While researching this thread I noticed that the Wallenstein GX600 is circa 300 lbs lighter than the Woods 6500, so that makes it a far better backhoe candidate for the BX2200.

Wallenstein GX600: 625 lbs
Woods 6500: 950 lbs

None of this includes any subframe weight, though. And I doubt that it includes any weight attributable to the PTO-driven hydraulics (which is the only way I would use this on a BX).

Haven't heard from Wallenstein yet.

regards,

Mahlon

I think this is the Landpride unit I saw at my local dealer. It appeared to be a 3-point that also had mounting to the frame if I recall correctly, but I did only look for a minute or two.......didn't want to start "needing one" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
