Kubota BX2200
I noticed that Kubota now has a 3 pt weight box for the bx2200.
Does anyone know how much weight they recommend to carry?

A Midwest Boxblade has more function and will do the same thing.

A sheet came with my weight box that said something about 500 lbs for the BX. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Since I have a B2910 I didn’t pay any attention to it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Thanks Ron,
I had heard several numbers passed around, but could not get a good solid figure.

From the weight box itself...

BX Series: 300 Lbs.

B Series: 500 Lbs.

Now for the next question. What do people use to generate this weight? I have about 85 Lbs of barbell weights and 30' of chain in mine so far but need more.

I knew I should have saved that sheet. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Now I have my box overloaded with marble chips from the local landscape supply. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Thanks for the correction. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Just got done making my weight for the back of my BX2200. I used an 18 gal. Rubbermade Roughneck rectangular plastic tub for a mold. Placed 3 and 3/4 bag (80 lbs. each) of concrete mixed inside and a piece of 1/2" rebar bent to the shape of greek omega sign inside near the top as a lifting hook. I left the hook low enough to be able to place the lid of the tub on for storage. I am now having a metal box welded that is made of 3/16" steel plate with 1/4" inch plate tabs for the cat one pins and 2 1/2"x2 1/2" x 1/4" angle for the top pin hookup to use as a rear carryall. The box should weigh around 100 to 115 pounds ( my guess) and measure 24" tall by 24" wide and 18" deep. When I need weight I'll place the concrete tub inside the box with the front loader and hook up to the three point. When not used as a weight box it will serve as a tool and fuel box. Thanks once again to all on the board for the great ideas for this project. If my calculations are right 2.5 cubic feet of concrete at 150 lbs each means 375 lbs plus roughly 100 for box for a total of 475 pounds. My tiller weighs 500 and is no problem for the tractor to lift so I think I'll be just right to offset the full capacity of the loader. Bigguy
