BX2200 with a Backhoe?

scam.

even heavily used bx's w/ FEL and BH go for 12-13 grand.

if it doesn't have a FEL, the back hoe alone will make it almost unsteerable.

stay away from this one.

also, if you have a bunch of stumps, you'l be ahead renting a fullsize machine for a day or two. then you can just pop 'em out and be done with it.

ampsucker also said it- RUN! just RUN! ignore the ad. Go to your local dealer and take a look at the machines there. If you want to save money- call barlows, there been many positive comments about them and will deliver to you when they are in your area. If you have no other tasks for BH other then stumps, rent a real excavator for the day- you will come out ahead in terms of money long term.

This ad is in all probability a scam. On a rare occasion, you may find a widow who does not know the value of her deceased husband's stuff, trying to sell off his old things. Nevertheless, put down no money unless you have test driven the machine, and still use good judgment. If you try the machine, but the seller seems shady, it could be stolen. If you go to her farm, you see she is old, all his other stuff is there, you can probably figure she is on the level. Now the question is, do you take advantage of her innocence? IMHO, a good and honest man would tell her what she could actually get for it.

In any case, a Woods BH6000 on a BX2200 is a good machine. I have that combination. The subframe takes care of any problems you may be thinking of. You would NOT want to put a 3ph backhoe on this tractor (I wouldn't put one on ANY tractor for that matter). By searching the archives here, you can find literally thousands of posts on the BH6000. The only thing it won't do is dig in the hardest of hardpans or anything harder than that. In the following thread, you can see pics of all the stumps and boulders dug up by blackmajicwoman with a BH6000 on his little BX1500:

Well with all reality Its probably a scam. As rare as a BX2200 with a woods BH is there are three BX2200 with BH's showing the same pictures and detailed description listed all for $4900, here in Michigan on Craig's list and the OP is no where close to here. Coincidence? The information and pictures are usually are taken from a real e-bay or other listing and used as bait. Either that, or its the new going price...

The first week she moved a few ton of material.

What is the pipe line for? I see what it does but what purpose have you applied? And the use of the underlayment? Just curious. Nice work that machine does.

Called a french drain......... the filter fabric... then #2 stones...input the four inch perforated pipe ... more stones....wrap over more fabric and then about 4 inches of topsoil. 260 feet this year and an equal amount next year. Tired of the wet lawn that never dries.

And the nice thing about #2 stones is that when you dig the ditch and the bottom looks like a roller coaster ....... the stones make it look like you knew what you're doing with the backhoe.

Meadowdale,
I have the BX22 new with the FEL, Backhoe, 54" deck & 48" Woods rear blade. It all fits on a 14ft trailer & has dug many fish ponds, mowed my grass 2x a month since new. :D & will be digging the basements for my 24ftx36ft shop & 18ftx 65ft basement addition for my house as soon as I get the permits. Great machine. Now has ~3200 hrs. & is starting to need hoses. :( I can't really complain about it. Got a deal @ $9200.00 new in '01? wo rear blade. It has bee a very solid workhorse since day 1. Looking at a Walco 60In. 3PH snowblower for it. Not completely sure about that though.
T-Man.
