Does anyone out there have the 60" deck with the mulching kit. I'm thinking about one for my BX2200. I like the way it cuts but the clippings that it lays out need to be mulched. I'm cutting every third day...I would need to cut every other day to keep the clippings small enough so that they would not need to be mulched. Has anyone out there used the 60" deck with the mulching kit. Does it do the job or am I better off cutting every other day without the mulching kit.

I have a BX 2200 with the 60 in deck, but I wasn't aware of a mulching kit. What does it consist of? I would like to hear of other experiences also.

I believe the mulch kit basically consists of replacing the blades with a "higher" lift blade so as to keep the grass in the deck longer thereby chewing it up more.

I recently bought the bx2200 with the 54" deck and have yet to buy the mulching kit but did buy one for my t1400 about 10 years ago. It cost 100.oo and was simply circular shaped 4" metal that encompassed the blade and kept the grass in deck housing longer thus chewing up the grass much finer.
