I like that idea, now if you can just find a football helmet face mask for the hydro fan and a jock cup for the hydro filter, you're in bidness. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Previous post was only meant as an attempt at humor, now what I really meant to say is, I too think that the mid mount PTO should have a cover to keep it clean for the next use, the drive shaft can be difficult to connect because it is a little hard to get at. I have a woods by my house that I like to work in, pushing out dead stumps and piling brush and limbs, hence the need for the skid plate, but in addition to that, I would still like to have a cover for the PTO to keep the dust and dirt off. That will be my next endeavor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't know if this helps or not, but I have a 72" MMM on my L3130 and I have a PTO Cover that bolts onto the tranny block when the mid PTO is not in use. Maybe the BX is different, but I cannot imagine why.

I just watched Napolean Dynamite last night and frankly, was unimpressed. I did like Uncle Rico, though -- he sure was quite the quarterback\tupperware salesman.

Hi Saw you're impression of Napoleon Dynamite I liked it but then again I work with someone who bears a striking resemblence and also has a personality very similar to skip -- so I could definitely relate. I also grew up in the 70's and was brought back to that era for a while -- glad to back to the future but I did enjoy the movie. My kids are teenagers and they loved it so I watched it. I guess you just need to be able to relate the movie to life to really enjoy it. Sorry you didn't enjoy the movie - wish you could meet my skip. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I ran around without the skidplate and now you can tell it really needs a cover.

I took a piece of 1" PVC, needs to be at least 2" long, I cut it 3" so I'd have more to hold onto, and capped the end, cut a slot 1 1/8" back from the open end.

The part of the hairpin clip that you can see inside the cover, fits in the grove around the PTO shaft.

Leave the clip on the cover and stick the end over the PTO and smack it with your hand and it slips right on and locks. To remove, lift the straight end of the clip with your thumb and it pulls off. Aren't I a jeanius /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
