You probably won't need the turf tires and rims.
I would turn them in and get my money back.
You could use them for spares in case of a flat,but $375 is a
pretty expensive spare tire.

*I have been to Dickinson's in Fredericksburg and was quoted $17,095 for the BX23, 60" MMM, and rear wheel weights: ======

* Mine was
$15,500 for the Bx23, 60" MMM , -no rear wheel weights.
1595 sounds pretty steep for wheel weights , that you probably don't need anyway.

Rex, no the 17K did not include taxes, but since you live in VA and have been shopping around, you probably already know that the BX23 is in somewhat high demand in this region. So your price sounds reasonable for this area. I purchased the BX from Winchester Equipment. Although, I found out today that there is another Kubota dealer in Woodstock, VA. I probably should have also contacted them for a quote, but instead I checked with the Kubota dealers in Loudoun and Fairfax counties. They were all priced about the same. As far as the tires are concerned, I did get the tractor today and after driving on the turf with the (AG) bar tires, I will probably get some use out of the extra turf tires, only because I'm so picky about how my lawn looks /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif., but if you don't mind the impressions left in the grass, the other posters are probably right that the turf tires aren't really a necessity.

I might agree on the high output alternator, but the block heater is definately worth the $35 for the one time that it is cold enough to need it. I know that they do get an occassional snow storm in VA, and if it is cold enough to snow, it is cold enough to need a block heater. Sure you can get away without the block heater if you live where it never snows, but for $35 why not get it while the tractor is new and the dealer will install it at no charge usually. I often wonder why Kubota doesn't just add block heaters to every tractor and increase the price accordingly. If they installed them as standard equipment, then the price of the part alone would drop as a result of the volume. I am looking at getting a new B3030HSDC Loader/Backhoe this summer, and I would expect that Kubota will have the block heater as a standard item. If not, then I will have it installed before it is delivered.

I just ordered my BX23 from the local dealer here in Rome, Georgia.

BX23 w/ 12" backhoe bucket = $15,385
60" MMM = $1,850
High output alternator = $171
Subtotal = $17,406
Sales Tax = $1,218.42
Total price = $18,624.42

I have opted not to use the Kubota financing of 4.99% for 60 months. Instead I'm using my local credit union at 7.25% for 60 months. The reasons are thus: 1) It comes out of my paycheck every 2 weeks, so I don't have to worry about sending in payments. 2) They will finance 100% instead of 90%. I can send the other 10% to a much higher interest credit card so the net result is I am saving more in interest somewhere else (plus I've been on a kick the last 6 months to get rid of my credit cards).
