I have been digging out a couple of pretty big stumps from two pine trees we cut down last year ( trunk about 24" in diameter ) and have found that the BX23 has a hard time on some of the larger roots - I thought about going the chainsaw route to cut the roots and tried using my Sawzall to cut some roots but ended up spending $20.00 at Home Depot for an axe and have found that it works pretty darn good. Plus it is a lot cheaper than sawzall blades or a chainsaw. Put a sharp edge on it and make sure you don't cut your foot off. Even on larger roots - some of them almost 10" in diameter I usually only have to chop partway thru then I use the backhoe to break them out.

If the dealer in New Milford is Ruwet Sibley you are dealing with an outstanding shop. I recently bought a BX23 from their store in Torrington. There was a question about the price and the sales person that made the deal was not in. They delivered it with only the deposit changing hands. The rest of the paperwork was taken care of several days later. Parts and service departments are exceptional. 15,900 seems to be the going price. I called several and they were all in the same range. Can't beat a family owned dealer.

$15,900 is the going price around Sacramento. TBNer Ultrarunner drove from Oakland up to Medford, Oregon about 5 months ago & got a BX23TLB for $14,900. Also, Oregon doesn't charge sales tax. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I Have dealt with R&S on several occasions. They were always COD when I we bought equipment from them and my father went to AG School with George Ruwet. Parts and service departments exceptional IMO they need serious work and get streamlined. I had to do 2 predeliver inspections before I would accept the last machie I got from them. First inspection left them with a bull page on 8 1/2 x 14 paper second trip left them with half a sheet.
Next question is to ask your self why many of the comercial customers they sell equipment to dont go there for major service work or parts??

Tractor_Jim_CT --I would call or email Jim at Emerich sales (link above) since he HAS over 16, yes 16 BX23's IN STOCK and ready to go. When I was up there last Friday he said he NEEDED to move them and was giving some perks to people who buy.

His price is $14,999 for a BX23 TLB...that is what I paid for my BX22....killer price.

Yes I use a FEL on my BX22 for snow removal..It works perfectly..Not as fast as a thrower, but more fun making piles! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I live in Ludlow, MA near Springfield. I am selling my B7500HST Kubota with a front end loader and R4 tires. only145 hours. 2002. Bought new by a guy in Fitchburg Area in Oct 2002 from Chappel in NH. He used for landscaping new yard. I bought it from him this spring with 42 hrs on it. I used it this year to rake my new lot 1acre and move landscape material. I've got grass coming up and can't justify keeping the tractor now that most of the big stuff is done. It is a great tractor in great shape. Not sure the difference between BX23 and B7500. I think the B7500 is bigger. I'm asking $11700. email me at work if you are interested dhamel@hasbro.com
