New member, but been reading a ton of posts and reviews before I pull the trigger.

I'm really tossed up between these two models. I have about 2.75 Acres (1 to mow), on a hill. I've been quoted $13,410 for a BX2350 with loader & 60"MMM. I believe the BX24 is about 3K more? Anyone that got a 2350 wish they had the BH version? Dealer said the BX24 has bigger hydraulic pumps to handle the BH and the 2350 wouldn't run a BH at all comparitively to the BX24.

I've been reading the reviews and posts here and found that the BX2350 can get a BH? Is it just as good as a BX24, or should I just go with it. We're gonna be on this property for many many years.

I think that price on the BX24 might be without the MMM. You'd most likely pay about $5k more. $5k is also about what you'd pay later on for a Woods BH6000, which will fit the BX2350. There are a dozen or more people on here who have one and I have not read any negative comments about one. If you are uncertain about the need for the bh, you can buy the BX2350 now and decide later whether to add the Woods bh.

I needed one, read wanted one, but its up to you.

I would say yes, because of all the extra things you can get done with it.

If you have the money, no problem go for it, if money is tight, think about it, if you are financing, and getting a good rate, go for it also.

You will enjoy having it avable.

Check the price closely. I have not kept up with prices on the newer BX series, but when I purchased the BX22 4 years ago the price was only about 3k difference, including mower in both cases.
I agree if you can afford the BX24 with backhoe, especially with a good financing rate, I would get it. Many reasons, only one of which is the BX22,23,24 units carry a really high demand/resale.
I only had a few plans for my backhoe when I purchased the BX22, but have found so many uses for it I now am planning to keep the BX22 and add a larger tractor, rather than selling it. If I needed a large backhoe, I would sell it and purchase a BH90 for a larger tractor, but I only occasionly use it and the smaller hoe is fine for me. However, clearly there is no great substitute for one when you need it. Many here on the forum have done much more than I have with mine. Mine has probably only seen 50 hrs or so of use, but even for that is has been worth it.

I had this exact same decision to make, and even posted a question about the Woods backhoe on the BX2350 since the mount for that machine is new. Everyone had great things to say about the Woods aftermarket option, although a few people mentioned the height of the ROPS as a potential drawback.

Where I am in NH, I got quoted about $4,500 as the extra to jump from the BX2350 to BX24, with mower on both. I bought the BX2350 because of what I needed to spend on other things for the tractor -- so you may want to think about costs of attachments like PTO chippers, back blades, etc. The backhoe was a want, these attachments for me this year were needs. And I'm luckly as it's easy to rent one of those little mini-excavators if I have to dig a hole or two -- I have two rental outfits less than 5 miles away.

I would have loved to have gone with the BX24, and if money were no object I would have. But it always is, isn't it.
