Ok I have a BX2360 and I have been using the loader and a box scraper to clear snow on my driveway. Its around 600 feet and is flat. I can do it in low but high gear makes it go so much faster. Sometimes though I can hear it struggling in high gear, is this bad for the HST or is it ok to bog it out a bit?

I'll push the HST sometimes to the point that I can feel the relief valve on the HST kick out. When I feel the relief valve kicking out I'll back it down a gear. That's what is recommended in my B7800 owners manual.

I use high gear on my BX, I adjust the rpm's accordingly to type of snow I am pushing. IF it light fluffy stuff under 8 inches, I just run at 2400 or so. IF it wet and heavy, 2800-3000 rpms. I rarely use 3200 rpms during winter for anything, only for mowing.

Sometimes when I need more pushing power, I make sure I am not operating the FEL nor 3 pt and back off on the HST pedal a tad. It gives me the power I need and I tend to run at 2400-2800 for most types of snow. no problems!
