That sir, is your diff lock rod.

I just dismantled and put a new transmission in a BX2380 last week. So I am very familiar with that machine.
that's great you solved the puzzle! Of course my little list missed that one! These machines use PILES of various rods to operate.

To reinstall the diff rod you'll need a pair of clip pins like on the ends if the diff rod in this photo on my b2650. Or a couple of cotter pins in a pinch. IMG_20201129_165147136.jpg
