A great option especially if you are going to dig with your bucket is the Piranha Tooth bar. Only one bolt on each side. Lots of raving reviews on TBN. I have one and it's the best mod I have done by far. Still performs like brand new after 3+ years banging on it.

Dragon,
where did you buy it, and how much was the piranha tooth bar (?)
I`ve seen them being used on youtube channels.

I chose to go with the straight cutter edge because i do alot of back dragging, i need a glass smooth surface when done.

Welcome to BXpanded - Engineered and Built in the USA for $229. I backdrag with it and can get it smooth if you have your bucket curl right. The big advantage is the digging and scooping of various materials.

The RatchetRake will do this better and glass smooth for me with my clay base would never grow grass but grows weeds great. The lower teeth on the RR leaves slight grooves for seeds. The front teeth are bigger and are for brush control and digging. It is strapped on and is a one person off and on in under two minutes if your old and slow and under one minute if your young and fast.

The Pirinha is probably a step ahead in digging and in leaving on the bucket all the time (bolted on thru holes drilled in the side of the bucket, slow on and off) vs RR which needs to be taken off in under one minute by one person, for scooping up bucket loads of gravel, rocks, dirt, mulch, etc. I would like to have both but my only one I chose is the RR which I've had for maybe 8 years, since company started selling them. I've started to order a Pirinha for my L3901 but pricing plus shipping encouraged me to drop off the page since I already have the RR which is indestructible and I've added the RipNDig from the same company but I bought it from a fellow TBNer used.

thanks for this, having an issue deciding between bolt on edge and Piranha myself. This might help!

I looked into both of the Piranha & RR, i`m not using my bucket like some of you are, so the OEM bolt on cutting edge is perfectly fine for what i intended the tractor to do. I`m not digging anything with the bucket, so i dont see or feel the need to spend the money on something that will be totally worthless to me.
