BX23S wasp nest in roll bar / sprayed wasp killer / how to clean out?

Very aggressive wasps made a nest overnight in the rollover bar, entering through the small holes for accessory mounts. I sprayed the hole from a distance and they've moved on or otherwise are no longer a problem. However, I am unsure how to clean out the residue which seems to be petroleum-based and has warnings about paint damage. I've rinsed out what I can with soap and water. There seems to be no way to get a brush or wire down in the hole to remove the nest. Any suggestions?

Air hose nozzle pressed directly into the hole may dislodge some of it. Probably never be able to get rid of all of it.

Spray some wd40 or CorrosionX in there. Wasps don’t like oily surfaces and help prevent rust.

I had a nest in my roll around cherry picker (engine crane). Found out at the worst time. After spraying through the ends and all the holes, they were no more. After the nest dries out, they are easier to knock out. After a couple of whacks with a rubber mallet, it fell out of the end.

I keep tape over the ends and holes now.

Spray some carb cleaner or brake cleaner in there and don't worry about it.

I wouldn't spend too much effort worrying about paint damage given Kubota probably selected paint suitable for exposure the petroleum based fluids ( diesel fuel, hydraulic fluid, engine oil, grease for zerks ).

I too had issues with wasps, white faced hornets, yellow jackets nesting in wire/ hydraulic routing holes in frame, ROPS, etc and filled entrance to all these with expanding urethane foam. Foam looks a little ugly but it sure keeps those buggers from taking up residence.

The yellow jackets are very creative around here. Any open hole, pipe or tubing. Spray with wasp killer - scrape out the nest with bent coat hanger. Better yet - leave the soaked nest where it is. May deter future infestations.

Slightly off topic but yellow jacket related. Jackets like to take up home building in the mole tunnels in lawn and usually the local black bears hear them and dig them out for food BEFORE I run over the nest with lawn mower but occasionally the nest is too deep for the bears. Those get a pint of diesel mixed with a little gas and a lit match. When that doesn't work then, at night, take the M59 out to the nest and drop some dirt with backhoe onto the hole and compact the area with the back of the hoe bucket. End of problem.
