BX24 Dies when I step on accelerator

My BX24 dies when I step on the pedal to move forward or backwards. Has to be a bad switch or wire. Any ideas?

Are you sitting on the seat? If so it is the safety switch under the seat.

Sound to me like it might be the seat safety switch.

Is the seat properly latched down in driving position ? Or are you trying to use it in backhoe position ? did you stand up and try to move the hst pedal? are you a lightweight person ? All of the above is the obvious causes for HST tractor to stop. Otherwise , you might need to have dealer check the switches for you.

Sounds like a seat switch, but you might have heard that already.

temporaily by pass it by using a wire jumper, easy to test

The pedal is not an accelerator .
Are you sure you have the throttle advanced far enough that the engine don't lug down and die off when you hit the pedal?

I realized after I posted it I had used the word accelerator. I do the same thing with fuel I use the word gas instead of fuel or diesel even though 3 out of 4 vehicles I have are diesel.

Even if I remove the switches and hold both in by hand the Tractor dies. I ohmed out both switches. If the switches are not depressed one is always open while the other is closed. If the switches are depressed then it is the opposite.

Which one is the safety switch Black or Grey? I noticed the connectors are both Black and Grey so I make the assumption that this is a way of distinguishing them apart. If not is it the one closest to the backhoe?

I had that same problem (shut down when I pressed the forward pedal). It turned out to be the switch holder and not the switch itself. I just taped the switch shut and let it hang to the right of the seat until my replacement holder came in.
