BX24 dropped drive shaft now I have a vibration.

The question is why now. So I never drive my tractor in 2WD. So I'm wondering if the little that I did while the drive shaft was out was so smooth that when I got the drive shaft back in, feeling of the front axle gears was noticeable. When I drive in 2WD no vibration. The question to the forum is, can you tell a noticeable difference when you drive your BX tractors in 2WD and 4WD.

I can always feel a vibe when a tractor is in 4x4 and that is one reason I keep it in 4x2 unless needed. So, yes, you may have noticed how smooth it is in 4x2 mode.

Thank You for the responses. I replaced the front most u-joint with a new one and the plastic shroud. I noticed that the new u-joint is much stiffer that the old one. The old one didn't have and play but was very easy to spin compared to the new one. Everything is back together and I would say the vibration is almost gone and back to what I remember. As a note, I was pushing my tractor pretty hard and had not considered that the pin broke. I just assumed the cotter pin failed and the pin just fell out, but now I see it makes more sense that the pin broke under the conditions I was using the tractor. Well, I have spare pins now.
