BX24
I have a KubotaBX24. Every do often the fuel slows to a dribble and stalls the engine. I solve this by removing the first fuel filter on the underside under the drivers seat and blowing air through the fuel line up into the fuel tank. That is a temporary solution as it is a continuous problem. Does anyone know how to permanently solve the problem ? I though of taking the fuel tank off and putting a bigger diameter fuel line in but the tech. at the dealership told me the injectors would clog up. If I put a larger fuel line in I would add an additional fuel filter right after the tank.

can't you just replace the dirty filters?

Have you put an inspection camera down into the fuel tank and had a look at what could be causing the continuously occurring blockage(s) in the filter(s)?

Is there any debris/water appearing in the fuel bowl?

The solution is to clean out debris that is in the tank. Sometimes it's a single object like a large insect, or leaf. It could also be a serious microbial contaminated fuel problem. Microbial contamination will look like anywhere from black specs in the fuel and filter, to a thick black slime.
As has been mentioned, get an inspection camera if you can, and see what's in the tank. Also examine the filters. You may need to drain the tank and flush it out.
Report back with what you see in the tank and filters.

Can be found on amazon. not a big cost, but will need to use phone wifi for adapter. got mine to inspect bee boxes without opening it up

I’ve exactly the same issue and have used exactly the same (blow backwards) solution. I also periodically drain the tank and shove a vacuum down it and suck everything out. It works for a while. I’ve never been able to get the camera (I’ve the model above) to show me anything interesting.

I've worked on a BX23 that had this issue. In their case it was just some debris. Not sure what it was, because it was a rubbery type glob of something. No way it would've come out of the fuel hose connector, as that is why it would get clogged up/restrict flow again.

How I fixed it was draining all of the fuel, removing the fuel tank, and then filling it with a garden hose with water and shaking it till the debris came out. I then let it sit for a few days to dry out with a fan blowing into the filler hole to dry up the water. That also included periodically shaking it.

Then I reinstalled it, got some diesel 911 and threw a few ounces of that in it to absorb any extra water with fresh diesel. User was happy.

I told the user that they need to minimally use a jerry can with a mesh filter OR a funnel with a filter, like a Mr. Funnel.

You are my doppelganger. How'd this turn out for you, Pszotak? I just posted basically the same situation. I've also been blowing air up the line, watching that slow dribble turn into a nice flow. It gets old. I ordered one of these today and am hopeful I can see what's up, because getting the tank out will be hard to fit into life.

For me, this started happening right after I filled up with home heating oil as opposed to diesel from a filling station. Perhaps home heating oil is much less filtered and there was a dead wolverine in the tank or something.

One of my neighbors tried the 'home heating oil' fuel option, siphoning from his heating fuel tank. He had constant problems with microbial issues. I have always used off road diesel fuel directly from a dealer pump and have never ever had a fuel quality problem. Anyone else see a common issue here?
