Anyone else have this issue with the 24? Have to let off the reverse pedal ever so slowly to prevent slaming hard stop. Usually enough to lift the front wheels right off the ground.

My 1850 does the same thing. Been thru the adjusments and now have a new gas damper on the way. The pedal is to savage in forward too, but not as bad as in reverse.

Yes, I have noticed the same thing on mine. (I just got it a week ago - traded up from a BX2230).

I've also noticed some other issues that I hope can be corrected with some minor adjustments. Like the MMM height adjustment not being able to be set to the "TOP" when the MMM is mounted.

Also, when the transmission is engaged, but not stepping on the forward/reverse pedal on a incline the tractor rolls and doesn't stay in place. On my 2230, when I let up on the pedal the tractor stayed in place.

Yes, I have experienced the same thing. However, I have learned to ease up on the reverse pedal and the problem is not bothering me as much. Having said that, occasionally it still does happen but I have always attribuited it to me. This is my first tractor, so I don't know what is right or wrong. I will keep watching this post to see if a real fix comes up.

Congrats on all your new BX's!
My 23 is about the same as youall have described. I consider it operating as designed and after 600+ hours, I still forget to feather it when coming to a stop sometimes. For me, it's most pronounced in high range and at higher rpm.

Mine will also roll a bit, one direction or the other, when stopped - sometimes. The parking brake, bucket, or rear attachment will stop it when needed.

Cheers!

I'm sure we will here from others but I have run a lot of Kubotas and they are smooth on the hydro pedals. My last one was fine too. The manual states that the tractor should stop in 3 meters (about 9 feet) from full throttle, full forward. Mine stops in 2 feet with the wheels sliding so the pedal is returning faster than it is supposed to.

Kevin,

I agree, your tractor sounds like the peddle is out of adjustment. It should glide to a stop. Are you taking it back to the dealer for adjustment under warrantee?

Also, on the spec you list, that is the MAX distance. I don't think there is a MIN distance spec.

I looked in my service book (Grand L series only - sorry) and there is a neutral adjusting rod, so you can get it adjusted. (If it is the same as the grand L). My guess is that neutral is not centered on the peddle and when you let off, it goes a little bit into forward, causing the wheels to lock and a harsh skidding stop.

If you see the above post the adjustments have been checked and the dealer is sending me a new gas damper for the pedal. He has spoken to Kubota Tech and they felt it must be the gas damper. The spec for stopping only says if it exceeds 3 meters to make an adjustment so my take is that somewhere around 2 meters might be correct as they talk of 1/2 turn adjustment of the return spring.

Mine only does it in high speed (rabbit) range. In turtle mode it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Mine requires feathering to be near perfect in reverse, and is more prone to grab in low range. Forward is fine, so I have been thinking that it was just more difficult to feather off with the reverse pedal. Sometimes I can do it "just right" and seemingly repeat the same process but it then doesn't work. Perhaps I should try some adjustments. Backing down a slight incline can be scary...especially if the BH/thumb is carrying a load.
