If I still have half the blades on the fan, will it cool adequately?

I wouldn't chance it. Even if temp outside was cool, sooner or later the temperature is going to build.

Get yourself a $10 temp gauge and monitor the temp. This is the
hottest mine got to . If you don't exceed this , then ...........
I'm not convinced it's much of a cooling device considering the
minimal metal fin-body that's blown upon .
As for engineered ; more a case of cost saving , and far too
difficult to access for replacement . ALL of us would have been
prepared to pay another $150 to have a proper oil cooler aka
B series etc.
