Check the tip at the end of the hose. Can you adjust or rotate the tip, loosen the
zerk jaws. If you have an adjustable hose tip simply loosen the adjustment and you should be good. If not, replace the tip with the adjustable type.

I have had the same problem as Frosstoise. I found it almost impossible to disengage the gun nozzle from the grease nipple so I asked a dealer how their mechanics did it. I was told to make sure the nipples were clean and that as the nozzle was used more it would become easier to disengage. Not very helpful. The adjustable nozzles sound like a good idea. Where can you get them? The only tool I have found helpful is a heavy duty long nose pliers with a 90 degree bend. These enable you to get a good grip on the nozzle to pull it off.

The adjustable jaws for the grease gun tip will allow you to use a flexible line off of your grease gun and lock the zerk to the gun. Just loosen the tip, put the tip on the zerk then tighten the tip on to the zerk. This is very useful if you have a dirty zerk that is not taking new grease easily or the zerk is in a poor location and the tip keeps slipping off the zerk.
