BX24 MMM driveline removal - torn rubber

YUP! the hst plastic fan blades are torn off, the rubber boot is the least of your problems. From what I hear, its a major job to remove alot of parts and move engine forward just to get to the HST fan.
At the same time, you will then be able to address the torn boot. Your MMM shaft should not be left on there like that, its too easy to accidentcally turn on the PTO if it int he both pto or botttom mode.
Sounds like the tractors been abused.
Thank you so much for all of your help!
*I am going to get this fixed.Thank you!
*Don't run it without fixing it or ypu'll trash the tranny.
Sure hope you got it for a good price.
I think that with a MMM installed their isn't much need for guards.
I have 2 BXs that the MMM stay on all the time so I tend to go along with U on that.
I do need to put sometning under the other BX with just a front blade and rear tiller and no MMM.

I purchased the tractor and the impliments for $15,250.

I wonder how a person can know if the transmission is trashed. I am picking up the tractor this afternoon with a new fan blade and skid plates.

The tractor seems to drive fine.

They are also changing all the filters. Fluids had been changed so they weren't going to do anything with the fluids. Also they are greasing everything.

They are also looking at the seat switch/pto switch. Sometimes you have to move things around so that the the switch will let the tractor start.

I wonder how many BX24's are out there with a broken fan? I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for taking a picture and someone accidentally seeing it?

Anyone gone a long time before discovering that they are missing the fan?

I am glad this was caught now before I started really using it.

I went about 50 hours once before noticing 2 blades of the fan were missing. Now I pre-flight the tractor a little better.

Boy oh boy that's a lot of stuff for the money.

art,
You beat me to it. The HST fan blades are broken and the joint covers appear to be missing on the propeller shaft.

No HST fan blades could be trouble. It took me about 8 hours to fix my propeller shaft. (with beer breaks) :D.

A slow year and we sell fifty plus kubota sub compacts alone and we still don't have but a couple fans a year fail. Normally they can be changed in about an hour depending on the tech.

Wow! I don't think I could remove the skidplates, ROPS and fender in an hour. I must be slow or I'm doing it wrong.
