Here some pricing for anyone shopping a bx24. Just ordered a '07 bx24tlb with the 54" fine cut deck.

14950 for the bx and 1550 for the deck. 100 doc fee. delivered 36 miles one way n/c. all prices before taxes.

Most dealers are quoting 15500 for the bx. This dealer still made money.

Looked at John Deere 2305 but only price quote was list and figured it would be hard to get a good deal if their quoting list even at one dealer. I'm sure someone would deal, but got worn out visiting kubota dealers.

Wanted smallest tlb i could fine that had a good reputation, and that seemed to be Kubota.

This web site has been a good resource on tractors.

Called Dealer to see if he got all my credit application. Everthing cleared on the 0 %. So that was good.

Told him to let me know when it would be in. Suppose to call me in a couple of days with delivery info. Discussed walkaround on machine.

He asked me if anything else was needed. I asked him if he had a used deck that would work since cutting grass is not a big use. and cheaper was better. He said no but he had a new old stock unused 60" that had been sitting around due to previous customer changing mine. He offered it at 1250. I took it with some hesitation as my grass cutting is limited and such a wide deck will be some what tricky.

Does anyone know if a narrower deck would work on the bx24? Say a 48"?

Sweeter,

This dealers off in the country, south central virginia. I was suprised, but glad. He is still close enough to do the free delivery. The saleman lives about 10 -12 miles from where the tractors being delivered. He said they would come pick it up n/c for warranty repairs. The economy here is not to hot here. The highest quote I got was 15,800 for the tlb and that was Mt. Airy(home of mayberry storyline).

Its like most things with buying and selling, supply and demand.

Up in the NY/NJ area, i've been getting quotes from 15500-16500

Me and three buddies are in the market for a small TLBs.

Dealers really aren't discounting on the multiple sales unless it's the sameowner.

We may have to go out to Pa.

Um - just a note - the manual for the BX24 says not to load the rear tires because of the back hoe weight... At least my manual says that ;)

Whats the best way to load using fel with bh removed?

Wheel weights or a ballast box. Anyone make a ballast box for the bx24.

One of the dealers I was shopping said they fill the tires as part of the price. I thought that was pushing it as far as weight.

Either works - but for the BX24 specifically - since it comes with the BH - that's the intended counterbalance for FEL work.

So - if you didn't want the BH on - I guess you would go with the ballast box... if you were really partial to Kubota parts - you could use the pretty orange one they sell for the 2350...

The way I figure it - I paid for the BH - I'm using it as dead weight when I need to!

I just ordered a BX24 today from Messicks in Lancaster, PA. It was the best deal from all the quotes I got. $15,300 for BX24 with R4 tires, withOUT a MMM. I added a toothbar for $350. No delivery charge, but I'm about 65 miles away from Messicks, I believe, and I don't know how far they'll go for free.
