BX24 rear rotary mower size

Woods makes an Estate Series that will work on the BX and Land Pride cutters fit well, we have used one for years. I use Bro Tek plates on both of our BX's and have a set of spacers to increase stability. Bxpanded makes good protection as well, but must be removed when you mount your deck. My BX2200 lost the fan even with the deck mounted as have a couple of other people, so I chose Bro Tek. Now I used mine in some rough stuff, but didn't expect anything to be able to get to the fan; my mistake.

I wasn't familiar with the Woods Estate Series that TripleR mentioned, so did some googling. Those attachments look like they are an excellent match also! And I know Woods has a great reputation for quality stuff.

Page down a ways - I see their rotary cutter is 42", the exact width recommendation for your BX24.

Thanks again, this forum is great. That BXpanded has some great items for our tractors. I went ahead and ordered the under armor skid plate, I just hope I haven't already done some damage. I'll have to take a look under the tractor this weekend. I'm still just getting to know this tractor as I've only had it a week and with everything still frozen haven't used it much but I did try to push over some bushes with the bucket and some stuff did go up under the tractor.

BXpanded does have a bunch of really nice stuff, and Harry is great to work with - will happily answer any of your questions, etc. I've gotten quite a few of his products and have been really happy with all of them.

If you don't have a thumb for your backhoe yet, you should check out the one from Bro-Tek. I checked a bit about different thumbs and decided his is the one I wanted to go with for a couple of reasons. Having a thumb can be crazy handy at times.

I am also looking for a skid plate for my bx. The one from Bxpanded looks to be the best for me as I do not have a MMM and do not plan on one. I did see in their info that it goes on or off in seconds so would not be to bad for hooking up a mower. It looks like they use the MMM spring pins to hang the skid pan to the tractor . Any how it's what I will be getting.

I really like the BXpanded amour. It's simple to r&r and offers good protection.

I have a BX24 with KK/CountyLine 48" rotary cutter from TSC. Think I paid $699 on sale last summer. It is the largest size I would use on a BX. It took some adjustments to get it set for what I wanted but now works great. It's nice to back up and clean under a tree or field edges as well. I bought this instead of the 42" XK series for sub-compacts because who knows? Maybe I'll get a bigger tractor and I don't want to buy attachments again. Also have a KK tiller - it IS a beast!

I've got an RCC42 that I use with my BX2200. I wouldn't want to go any bigger than that simply due to the weight of it. It's got enough power, but a bigger cutter would just be too heavy IMO.

Sorry to bother on a holiday weekend but I just got my rotary cutter on and checked the size of the pto shaft and it is already cut short enough. My question is because I'm using a quick hitch it is several inches shorter than it needs to be, is there a chance it could be too short? Or doesn't it matter?
