Ok after a stupid move on my part I smashed the gauges on my BX24. So I bought a new one and found out that the hour amount is kept on the gauge peice so now it will read 0 hours. I have yet to replace it so I can still access the pin-out on the back of the new one. Does anyone know how to maybe jump some pins to add hours? I have no problem jumping the pins and waiting the 43 hours that I had on it already.

Along the lines of Ferris Bueller, why not jack it up and let it run in high for 43 hours? :)

How about connect it to a battery for 43 hours, and then install. Or install it at 0 hours and add 43 hours everytime you look at it. Since you will have the BX for a long long time, what is 43 hours?:) Only you will know it, and as long as you do the required maintenance based on 43 hours plus what u have on the new hour meter.;)

When mine was replaced I asked the dealer that very question - his answer was "You have fewer hours when you want to sell it..." And my dealer is great - so I'm guessing that means there isn't a good way of doing it...

My dealer just replaced mine under warranty when they came out to do the seat bracket. My tractor when from 58 hours to zero. Its funny because I was thinking the same thing about hooking up a jumper wire to run up the hour clock.

I agree with NY_Yankees_Fan. Hook it to the battery and let it run for a little shy of 2 days. The mentally adding 43 hours to the new tack is also pretty easy, but if you would feel better do the battery thing.

just hook it to a battery as said or a 12v power supply.

alot easier than adding the hours cause youll forget by next year
