Do you happen to remember the size of the bolt head and nut? Or better, are they metric? I don't have any metric tools above 18mm. This tractor is the first foreign vehicle I've ever owned. ;)

I think it was 7/8th if I recall.

15/16 for the nut. Interesting size. I only had it in my impact socket set. But, all loosened up and folded. About an hour later, I drove into my garage door frame for the first time.

ROPS - 1 Garage Door Trim - 0

Yep, first time out mowing today. Drove into the garage, and it started to bog down, so I pushed it a little harder and I felt the back end starting to sit down a little. That's when it dawned on me that I forgot to fold the ROPS. Backing it out only doubled the damage to the aluminum trim. Of course, the wife had to hear it and came running out to see. Do you know how hard it's going to be to get a contractor out to fix a single piece of trim?

Didn't even have the tractor a week and already drove into the garage door frame. If that doesn't scream new garage, I don't know what does :)

An external garage is on our to-do list, but that's YEARS away. But, perhaps you have a good point there. If I drive into the garage frame a few more times, we may just have to move it up on the priority list. :D

Thanks :) I figure my Kubota will still be around when my daughter is all grown up and off to college in about 17 years, and I can show her how she used to fit in the backhoe bucket. :D

Thanks to this posting I did loosen my ROPS nuts as well to get it in the garage the first night.

I then read the manual (first time for everything) and did notice that it recommends to loosen them to allow for proper movement.

I will let you know when i get initiated into the club. Can't be far off.
