Has anyone ever installed a trailer plug on there bx24. I'm thinking of adding one but not sure if I should go with a 4 pin flat or a 7 pin. I would use it when I'm pulling my 2 trailers, also if I go with 7 pin I couild use it to power some rear mounted atachments. If anyone installed one on the nx where did you mount it?

I put a 4 pin flat on our BX2660. I tied the "Running lights" pin to the wire in the back that is intended for a light or something (switched on when the key turns on). I tied the turn signals into the turn signal wires (all soldered and shrink wrapped).
I looped it around the 3 point top-link bracket (we never use the 3 point) and it stays there. In the winter I put a mag mount beacon on the roof and it plugs into the trailer plug with a 4 pin flat.

Here is a 7 pin on my L3940, yours could be similar. Philip.

ha! I had the same thoughts too. I really want to install 7 way plug so I can utilize the braking power of 16 ft trailer on my BX24. I also have a 4 way plug on another trailer, but I dont think I will ever use plug since I never really need to use the lights on it. If I do, I'll just use the 4 flat to 7 way adapter I already have anyways. On my van I have one of those combos plugs where I can use either 4 flat or 7 blade, that would be ideal for you.
Anyways- I don't plan to install one yet until I get my cab built for my BX 24 as I was thinking of mounting the brake controller on the cab somewhere near the FEL control.

I had thought of doing that, but we dont have any trailers that are big enough to have brakes, so it wouldn't ever get used.
