Today I finally pulled the trigger on a new BX24! Should be taking delivery on it early next week /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I keep looking out the window already...waiting for it.

Months ago when I found this site I knew nothing about tractors...still know very little about them. But what I did learn from the many great posts on this site is that the BX line is a good sub-cut and will serve me well for what I want it for.
Thanks all /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks Homebrew2,
Checked out your pics a few times. Really interested in how well your brush bar works?

Thanks

Nice looking machine! If you have an area on your land that you don't care about... take it out there and use it to get some practice. When I got my B series I would mess the ground up just to smooth it back out again. It's good to get a little experience with it before you tackle more sensitive jobs.

Good luck and enjoy!

Hey Dale, looking good!! , First project is to dig out those nasty gum trees that put them spike gum balls all over your ground /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Enjoy!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The brush forks really work better than I thought but, as good as I'd hoped. They are NOT a root rake but can dig, or be forced under, brush that is not still rooted. Example: brush covered with mud/silt in a creek.

I did have to beef up the 1/2" x 2" bar clamps cuz after a while they would loosen up due to flexing when I would flick them to throw entangled brush off of them. It was kinda fun to watch those forks fly for a while but got tired of having to put them back on /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Darrell,
Best I could do on it was 16,200...even after he knew I had a better price on a MF GC2310. After riding both, I just liked this one better, and the dealer was really close. As far as which one is a better machine...Im a newb, so I havnt got a clue.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Have a 30" disk which might work for you. . . $75.
Pick it up in east central kansas.
You might want to update your profile.

I didn't have to do this when I got the BX23. Had to many back logged projects waiting on it so I put it right to work.

I didn't have any trouble using the FEL must have been the 38 years of using the front dirt blade on the ole bolens.
