NICE! Looks like you could really use a grapple.
Check out THIS

I have a BX25 as well. I just added a canopy and I am building
a cage around me and adding front and rear hitch receivers
and and and. Look for my past posts for good info!

Another vote for the controls will come with practice. For me them seem to be somewhat intuitive in that if I was the one to decide what lever movement did what, it is the way I would have set it up.

And just to make us all feel bad... Grandpa's rule is that you have to be 5 years old to run the backhoe. My oldest grandson and I went out and moved some dirt with the backhoe on a Friday. He did pretty well with some coaching from me. On Saturday morning my son and I were going to go dig out some stumps with the backhoe. The five year old explained to his dad in stunningly correct detail exactly what each lever did and how to run the backhoe. On Easter weekend my other grandson that is old enough dug a hole about three feet deep with virtually no coaching from me. Love to have then outside "playing" with my toys.

Take Care,

I don't even have to think about the loader control any more. But when I started, I needed something to remind me how it worked:

Up and down---think of the control stick as a lever, with the fulcrum in the center, your hand on the near end and the bucket on the far end. Push down to raise the bucket. Lift to lower.

Bucket---pull toward you to hold the contents---push away from you to get rid of the contents.

Owned an old MF bh/loader for 20 years. Had to be a piano player to run the 6 lever backhoe and never really figured out what lever did what, I just did it. Same with my BX24, when I'm standing on the ground next to it I don't know what lever does what but when I'm in the seat it does what it's supposed to do.
Too much thinking only slows things down, you just have to get in the seat and do it and it will become second nature.
