CHDinCT thanks for the link to your build! Looks like great work! I like the location just seems like you have to reach backward to get to the levers. Maybe they should be moved forward more? Or is it a comfortable location? I also like the hydraulic top link. What size? and where did you buy it? How is the grapple project coming? Love to see pictures I might have to build that too!

SEB92, the valve is just slightly behind me and I had intended to put it a little bit more forward but I just didn't cut my steel mounting plate quite long enough, BUT, as it turns out it's better where it is since I can still put fuel in the tank without removing the valve. If it was an inch or more forward, it would interfere with putting fuel in. Of course, that could be overcome with a pump or siphon setup. As for the hydraulic top link, it's a simple hydraulic cylinder with swivel ball ends. Got it from Surplus Center, which I use for most of my hydraulic needs. If you need spec's I can look it up. One word of caution - when I first mounted the HTL, I had the ports facing up and when I raised my 3PH all the way up, the port closest to the tractor hit the top link bracket on the tractor and sheared off the fitting. Fortunately, there was no damage to the cylinder and I was able to back out the threads on the fitting and replace it. After that, I put the ports on the underneath side and no issues since. Whatever you do, just check all your clearances before going "final" with it.

Never thought about adding fuel. Thats a good thought guess ill have to play around with it a little and see what works best. I was mainly worried about length and bore of your HTL? Ill shop around for the best deal like i usually do!

SEB92, I found my order confirmation for the hydraulic cylinder. Here's the item number and description from SC, and link. It measures 13.25" closed and has a 6" stroke, so 19.25" open. If I were to do it again, I'd look for one an inch or two longer when fully extended, but this works 90% of the time.

I am amazed at people. You can spend $400-600 for valves and other parts but can't spend $80 for the Shop Manual at the dealers. Mine has saved me many times its cost in not having to send work out to the dealership or flounder trying to understand a circuit. If you cannot understand simple mechanics and read the manual you should not attempt your own work.
