hey everyone, I am in the process of working out a deal for a new bx25. I am finding a better deal at a dealer that is farther away. They are saying that the kubota insurance pays for pick up and delivery, anyone who has had a claim does that sound correct?

I could probably find cheaper insurance but doubt they would cover the drive time to and from

I do not know if it sounds correct or not. I did check a few other insurances as it is a requirement for Kubota financing and I financed mine. Kubota's was the best thing going when I checked. Seems everyone that I talked to had good things to say about Kubota's insurance, mainly that it even covers operator stupidity in most cases. Not that I am full on stupid but I have my moments occasionally and when I do, as in all things I do I go full in stupid.

I use KTAC insurance for this reason. They cover the tractor during transport and when using it at other locations, even for commercial service. As far as paying for claim related pickup and delivery, you will need to call them. Their policy does state that "In the event of a covered loss, we will pay reasonable cost incurred by the insured to transport the damaged unit to an authorized repair facility."

If you have concern ask them to send you copy of the policy. Know JD insurance does or did on mine.

I just paid off my BX and had to get insurance. State Farm was $22 cheaper annually , but the deductible was $500, not $250 and they did not cover the trip to the dealer, plus a couple other things. I think the Kubota Ins is a great deal.

One issue not mentioned on any post on insurance is how the company determines the value of your machine...that will be a question you may find the answer hard to get.

My understanding is it's up to the owner to get the unit to the dealer, KTAC won't cover transporting the unit, but will cover the unit while being transported.

The dealer I bought from offers included transport of the unit during valid warranty claims, but I don't recall the specifics of an insurance claim. Most dealers don't offer this. The dealer I bought from is 80ish miles from my house and still offers this service.

KTAC does cover transportation cost during the claim process (not to get your 50 hour service).
