Buying Advice BX25 or GC2410??? Please Help!!!

   / BX25 or GC2410??? Please Help!!! #41
Hello. I am new to this website and I am hoping I can get some advice on which tractor to buy. I was going to buy the Kubota BX25TLB tomorrow but then I discovered the Massey Ferguson GC2410TLB. I don't know much about the Massey Ferguson but after watching the comparison video I think it might be a better machine but not sure. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated before I buy the wrong tractor. Thanks.

I would drive and use both tractors and get the one that fits your needs!! I would also look at dealers and service, which one is going to give you the best service after the sale!!!

I'm sorry if it seemed I was arguing, etc. Your preference is none of my business. The question was purely rhetorical. I was attempting to state my personal dilemma as to whether I should purchase a product made in the US by a foreign owned company or should I purchase a product made in a foreign country and sold by a US company. It's becoming a choice we have to make more frequently. Toyota builds many cars in the US. GM imports some vehicles from Canada and Mexico. Obviously, I would prefer to purchase a product made in the US by a US owned company and if I choose wisely, I can still do that with a vehicle. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be an option with the subcompact tractors.

I am also sorry, the specific wording can sound pretty fired up. I do agree with what you say and I guess I just try to side with the USA company even if they do not produce their product in the USA instead of the non USA company that does produce their product in the USA :confused2:.
BTW, I do drive a GM vehicle but will not support them in the future for what they have done. That is because we, the USA taxpayers bailed their butts out and after in return they canceled their contract with Stillwater Mines in Montana and ordered their product from South Africa :ashamed:. For what its worth, I began my tractor search looking at the Kubota , either one I believe is a good choice as far as tractors go. KC

Cruisin, your post was most informative. Thanks.

I'm somewhat indifferent on the issue. All those employees building here certainly is a tax benefit, a moral benefit for those workers, a product they are more likely to be able to buy, and a product they may want to support. Interesting why Kubota can build here and yet many US companies cannot or at least have chosen not to.

KC, I know what you mean about GM. My old Ford needs replacing, its on its last legs. I have to say that given what I see out there right now in full size diesel trucks, the GM product is my choice but have a hard time with it for the very reasons you mention. Now if they allowed the Toyota Tacoma with the nice little diesel in, I would certainly have my attention perked but that is not going to happen. We could talk about it but then it would be political and before you know it this thread would be closed! :ashamed:

I know what you mean, I also like the GMC vehicle I have and also the new vehicles they have, but I can not say the same for the upper management of GM . Years ago it was very simple in making a choice to support the USA companies vs. foreign companies :D. KC
