BX25 Overall Length For Storage

I don't believe you unless I see pictures of all these dollies!!! and stuff.:) Is this 3 bay garage just for tractors and tractor stuff? How do you stack cars, if there are any?:)

LOL, I thought you were the believer and I was the skeptic who needed to see proof! :D

Well the tractor (w/ FEL & BH on) is still stranded in the muddy field with the start switch and solenoid fuse messed up. The garage is 3 bay and about 30' deep. It usually has 2 cars. The 3rd bay is for the BX and other stuff. The BB and tiller roll underneath a set of storage shelving I built. One of the weight dollies rolls under the dolly of the BB. In another recent thread I described the platform I built for the new front load washer & dryer. That's where the little dolly for the BH buckets/ripper goes and another dolly for weights will go.

I do have pics in some old posts back in the archives of some of these things. I will try to get a few more posted here tomorrow.

I built my 3 bay garage 24 feet deep. With a small workbench or shelving in the front and with my Chevy Silverado in there, it is really not deep enough to move around the front and back of vehicle. I recommend 26 feet deep as an absolute minimum.

Wow, thanks for all the feedback, I never expected so much just by asking for the tractor length! I currently have a 24 foot deep garage with a Silverado and small workbench as well. It's a game of inches whether I can squeeze by right now, which is why I already decided to go 30'.

Since a few people threw out some garage design ideas, my plan is to make the "bulk" of the garage 30' x 30' with storage spaces in the trusses. We will keep our Silverado and Yukon XL in there, as well as all of our other junk. We have room on one side of the garage for a bump-out and 3rd garage door where I planned on keeping the tractor. The only problem is that we cannot extend the bump out the entire 30' depth, which is why the tractor dimensions are important. My max is probably 20', but this is an area where I can probably save some $$$ by minimizing depth. After all, each penny saved on the garage will go towards a new or used BX23/24/25. I can always pull cars out and move the tractor into a larger bay for changing implements. Although if the tractor measures +/- 15' with implements, I think i'll probably just maximize the depth here.

By all means post some pictures when able! I'm free to design at will right now (within certain budget constraints, mind you), so now's the time to get creative. Changing the the mower deck on my G2160 can be a real pain when my back decides to act up, so lifting that burden would help tremendously.

Thanks again!

I think I was just saying that to get you to post pictures so I could use some of your ideas without asking.:D I will and do admit for all to see and read that I had a senior moment and forgot my old post but.....Tom did not originally quote the entire post. After seeing my "entire" post I do fess up, I said it. Again, I admit and promote Tom as the "dolly" man and the most efficient user of space for storing tractor stuff above anyone else I've "seen", up to today date.:)
