If I had to guess, I would say it is due to the engine having 3 cylinders.

I did the hood bumper fix to mine, got the squares at the dollar general. works great, and I added tape to the hood underneath, as the paint will wear off where it rubs,.and I start and shut mine off with a bit of throttle added, it runs smoother there than at idle,

My BX2660 did the shudder/shake when turned off. I never did figure out why IIRC. But it really did more than I expected in performance and never had a serious issue. You will be well pleased with it.

My BX23 does that too. When I start it up, I immediately bump the throttle up just a bit to smooth out the idle. Just a touch above the lowest idle is much smoother.

Same thing when I idle it down before I kill it. I let it idle for a bit just above the lowest idle, and then lower it fully right before I shut it off.

Thanks, I ran it some more today and really didn't even notice it too much. Guess I am getting used to it. Real pleased with the machine so far!

I noticed that on mine as well, but now I don't give it a second thought.

I am also pretty pleased with how much such a small machine will do.

When I was waiting for the wife yesterday I found a 3"-4" stump and thought I would give the backhoe a little testing. I dug around it and popped it out and had the hole filled in under 10 minutes from start to finish. Once I got it out I found the bottom of the stump was about 5" with about 15 roots coming off of it and a large tap root. Not a real easy one so I thought it worked very well and reasonably quick. Think we are going to be very happy with this machine!

Been eyeing the driveway/road ditching project. Been putting it off as I really should do about 500 feet of ditch line (was thinking less but to do it right...) Now it really is not looking so bad after seeing how well the machine did. I do know one thing, sure beats the shovel and pick I was using!

You never told us how much more time you had on your hands waiting for your wife.

When I was in my 40's I was sitting in the seniors retreat in our local mall reading the local paper. Store security came along and told me I wasn't a senior. I told them I wasn't then, but I would be by the time my wife stopped shopping. They let me stay!!!!:laughing::laughing::laughing:
