BX2660 no power to dash, engine can be jump started.

BX2660 has thrown a weird fit. Dash doesn't light up (except engine hours). Thought it might be the ignition switch, replaced it, no change.
Used jumper cables from battery to starter, engine will crank and run if you hold the "start" while cranking. Hard to shut off though (very weird.)
Tractor was purchased in '09 and has about 110 hours on it. Mostly it's now used to mow the lawn (don't ask, long story.)
Checked the 50 amp fuse, no problem. Have not fooled with the smaller fuses as yet.
Any ideas what to check now?

I would look at the meter panel and it's connections. These had a tendancy to allow water in behind the glass on that generation. If it got bad enough it would run down through the wiring harness connector in the back of the panel. Generally a tractor would start and run albiet without any response from the gauges. However, if there are unintended connections and/or corrosion there would be a large number of possibe issues. The panel just snaps in. I always used a plastic putty knife to get them out. It's a bit of a shot in the dark, but at least up here in the Pacific North West it was a fairly common issue.
