If I recall from my test drive and looking at the literature, the B2650 now comes with a "Mark Hodge"-like telescoping stabilizer bar. :) It's nice to see when a company listens to their customers.

I thought the new 50 series B's are replacing the current 30 series Bs due to tier 4 mostly. Drove a B2650 cab at the dealers. Noticeable bigger than the B20's with all the bells and whistles. A big step up from a BX.

I bought a 2670 instead of a B just because it is easier to use in the in our yard. But I have a L 2600 and a Ford 3000 for the heavy stuff. Either machine would be great.

For the property and implements you listed and stating you are leaning towards the B series, you don't need a sanity check, I think you are correct in assessing your needs.

I would suggest the B series size tractor. I have had both sizes and I think the preference stated in your first post was correct. btw, The B2620 and B2920 are still on Kubota's website, but you would have to ask your dealer if there any to be had. There are low hour used Bxx20 series around, but I do think the premium B2650 your looking at is very nice with some improvements in several details (like the split brakes are now opposite the foot pedal), 3pt hitch, etc.

You stated one acre of lawn, just curious, how will you mow that area? I assume you are not buying a MMM mower just for that. I do agree if your property were different the BX would work fine, but again, for the property, implements and tasks stated I feel a B size will serve you better.

Anyway, good luck with your decision no matter the size or brand...you will enjoy the capabilities!

Tompet, at this point I am planning to mow the lawn with the flail as well. It's coming with scoop knives which give more of a finished cut. Since the prairie is grasses and forbs, these knives should work ok for that as well. We normally mow the yard to 2.5" and a clean look is all we are after. If we find that not to our liking, we can always add a MMM but that is not the plan today.

I'll try to remember to post a follow up in a couple of weeks after everything is here and in action.
