By pass of seat safety switch - pro's & con's

My old Leyland 344 without a single safety switch I rewired it a while ago battery starter and alternator key switch and a volt meter to see if its charging thats all I need.
But I do have a few rules
1 I never start the tractor with out getting on it first even if I have a chipper or something connected that I want to use get on the tractor to start it
2 I never move the tractor without being on it even just an inch to connect if to an implement
3 I have have always driven manual transmission vehicles so it comes as second nature to rattal the gear lever before you turn the key l

With an HST tractor the pedals usually return to neutral if the operator lifts their foot off. That would lessen the chance of falling off and getting run over by the mower.

Unless the tractor has a cruise control in use...then it's possible
