Bye, Bye Branson???

I would go with whatever brand has the closest dealer support. I know a Branson dealer in DFW area that I would probably buy from if I was within 50 mile drive.
I decided to go with Kubota because of long term and close support as well as resale value and parts availability.

Jeeze, some of you guys never quit do you.

Give it a rest already.

Branson isn't going out of business.

Sorry if that disappoints some of you nagging harpies.

And Branson is still selling tractors..

Actually they've been quite active on the European market. Seems they are now starting investing a lot more in the US market again which is really nice to see.

Their big boy 100HP tractor has just been launched in a Farm Show in Spain.

There are threads/comments like this all over the forums. The favorite speculation always seems to involve Branson going away. Must be a dozen of them in the last year. It gets tiresome. And it's always baseless speculation.

True. And those baseless speculations are usually said by those who never seen a Branson tractor in person.

I'd love to see a Branson in person, unfortunately they've not made many inroads here. couldn't find a dealer closer than about 130 miles. Bit far to drive on a lark.

While I'm at it I'd like a RK store within 100 miles, and a LS dealer too.

Yeah, that's not very doable. But I'm sure you would be surprised by how heavy they are built. The fit and finish is also very nice.

It would be nice to have at least 1 dealer in the state of CO. None at present. Hard to be a market leader with no dealers in multiple states. Let’s see some expansion!

Well, can you blame people for speculating when they see a place selling new tractors, and then it closes, then another pops up, and it closes, and none of those places are actually tractor dealers, just some "place" like a lawn and garden shop, or an actual junk yard, or, as in my state, the closest Branson dealer is 90 miles away, called "Fix It Shop" and looks like this from the street? Any reasonable person would be skeptical.

I've seen this with several other brands of tractors as well. And we saw this at Rural King many years ago when they sold tractors, then stopped. Now that they're starting up again, people are justifiably skeptical that they'll stick around. It looks and sounds like they're going to stick with it and only time will tell.

That's a nice looking place, I don't think I would even drive in there to buy an oil filter for fear of getting nails in my tires..

I typed in "Kansas City" in their location link. Not a thing!

And it's why people are speculative, because places like this pop up and down all the time. Not just Branson, but several other brands as well.

It's really hard for new brands to get established. Either they have to partner with the local lawnmower repair place/atv store, that typically have no idea about tractors, or they have to finance their own dealer network, and that's expensive.
