Cab tractor cost

$7,000 is cheap. and i would like to see a $7,000 new car....

In 1969 I purchased a new one of Five Hundred Fords for $3,500. The car had a Super Boss Cobra Jet 429 engine with solid lifters and pushrods. Rattled like a bucket of bolts at idle which was 900 rpm. Would top out at about 175 mph. Had AC/PW/PS/PB tinted windows, vinyl top AM/FM Stereo with eight track tape player. Loved gas, had a duel line double pump Holley Carb. Traded for a 1974 Chevrolet Caprice Classic with a 454 engine which had a list price of $4,200. So cars today that cost 40-50 thousand used to sell for less than five thousand.

sure ....40 years ago. try and find a $7,000 car now-a-days........

then again, my mom and dad purchased their house in 1960 for $60,000 and that house is worth about $750,000 nowadays. so you'd been better off buying a house back then HEHE:laughing:

Purchased the house in 1964. Sold it in 1993 got introduced to captial gain taxes.

I don't know where $7000. is coming from. I paid $5000. for my factory cab in 2008. That included am/fm/cd, rear wiper and rear lights!

But i would say CAT is the industry leader in construction equipment...and JD for farm equipment when viewing the worlds markets.

I do agree about CAT being the leader in construction epuipment but I think all Tractor brands put more effort out on there bigger hp being the best and all come up short on the smaller hp tractors so they can keep cost down and we mite grip alittle when they keep are tractors in shop but we dont spend the money the big time farmers do and they have to for sure have there tractors,so better put the best on it. I dont believe they can make the perfect tractor,we wouldnt buy it if they did .We would wonna buy it but pocket book/wifes wouldnt let us
